The Koa Project

What do you think a typical day in the life of a kiddo should be? I’d like to think it’s something like this:

Wake up. Announce presence loudly to entire household. Eat something delicious. Run around, refusing to change out of fancy pajamas. Visit friends at school, laugh hysterically about absolutely nothing. Learn something new. Probably break something. Come home for dinner and bedtime stories. Fight it but eventually submit to Slumberland.

Whatever your thoughts, I imagine visiting a hospital for chemo treatments isn’t part of that day. That’s why kids who are fighting cancer are especially close to my heart. They fight every day, and so do their parents.

Because I always want to make a parent’s heart a little happier, I’m continuing to offer free portrait sessions to those who have a child affected by cancer through what I am now calling The Koa Project. “Koa” is a Hawaiian name meaning brave, bold, and courageous, so I think it’s very fitting!
